Dieffenbachia spp., commonly known as Leopard Lily or Dumb Cane, is a tropical indoor plant admired for its bold variegated foliage and upright, leafy structure. Native to the tropical regions of Central and South America, this species thrives in warm, shaded environments and has become a popular feature in interior planting for its lush appearance. The plant produces large, oval-shaped leaves marked with striking patterns of light green, cream, and deep green, creating a vibrant contrast across the foliage. These leaves grow along thick, upright stems, forming a dense, layered canopy that adds texture and visual richness to interior spaces. Indoors, Dieffenbachia typically grows to around 0.8–1.5 metres in height, depending on the variety and growing conditions. With its tropical foliage and strong presence, Leopard Lily introduces colour, depth, and a lush atmosphere to residential interiors, offices, and contemporary indoor planting schemes.
