Tall Kangaroo Paw

Anigozanthos flavidus, commonly known as the Tall Kangaroo Paw, is a hardy and eye-catching Australian native perennial admired for its vibrant blooms and slender, upright form. This long-lived species forms clumps of strappy, green foliage, from which tall, branching stems emerge—often reaching over 2 metres in height. The tubular, paw-shaped flowers appear in a variety of colours including red, yellow, green, and orange, and bloom throughout spring and summer, attracting birds and pollinators to the garden.
