Melaleuca viminalis, commonly known as Weeping Bottlebrush, is an Australian native species admired for its fine foliage and graceful, cascading form. Found along waterways and open woodlands across eastern Australia, this plant is occasionally adapted for large indoor or sheltered settings where ample light is available. It features slender, pendulous branches lined with narrow, linear leaves in soft green tones, creating a light, flowing canopy that adds movement and texture to interior spaces. In favourable conditions, the plant produces distinctive cylindrical flower spikes in vibrant red, formed by clusters of fine stamens that create a soft, brush-like appearance. Indoors or in protected environments, Melaleuca viminalis typically grows to around 1.5–3 metres in height, depending on conditions and pruning. With its elegant weeping habit and native character, the Weeping Bottlebrush introduces a relaxed, natural presence to contemporary interiors and indoor planting schemes.
