Cordyline fruticosa ‘Compacta’, commonly known as the Dwarf Ti Plant, is a compact tropical species admired for its vibrant foliage and upright, architectural form. Native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, this cultivated variety is well suited to indoor environments, where it brings colour and structure to interior planting schemes. The plant produces dense clusters of broad, lance-shaped leaves in rich tones of green, burgundy, and deep red, often with subtle variegation that enhances its visual depth. The foliage emerges from short, sturdy stems, forming a tight, layered canopy that creates a bold yet compact silhouette. Indoors, Cordyline ‘Compacta’ typically grows to around 0.5–1 metre in height, making it ideal for desks, shelves, and smaller floor planters. With its vivid colouring and structured form, the Dwarf Ti Plant adds contrast, warmth, and a strong tropical character to contemporary interior spaces.
