Begonia maculata, commonly known as Polka Dot Begonia, is a distinctive tropical plant admired for its striking patterned foliage and elegant upright growth. Native to the tropical forests of Brazil, this species thrives in bright indoor environments and has become a popular feature in contemporary interior planting for its decorative leaves. The plant produces elongated, wing-shaped foliage in deep green tones, dramatically marked with contrasting silver-white spots, while the undersides display rich burgundy hues.
