Corymbia Aparrerinja

Ghost Gum

Corymbia aparrerinja, commonly known as Ghost Gum, is a striking Australian native tree renowned for its smooth, luminous white bark that seems to glow, especially under moonlight—giving rise to its evocative name. Native to arid and semi-arid regions of central Australia, this medium-sized tree features a graceful, open canopy and often develops a sculptural, multi-stemmed form. Its slender, grey-green leaves hang elegantly, creating soft movement in the landscape. In summer, Ghost Gum produces clusters of creamy white flowers that attract birds and pollinators, followed by urn-shaped gumnuts. Deeply iconic in Australian culture and art, Ghost Gum is ideal as a statement tree in dry landscapes, native gardens, or as a symbolic feature in design compositions.
