Indoor Plant | Pilea peperomioides

Chinese Money Plant

Height | 300-600mm

Pilea peperomioides, commonly known as the Chinese Money Plant, is a distinctive indoor plant admired for its unique circular foliage and compact, sculptural form. Native to the mountainous regions of southern China, this species has become a popular feature in modern interiors for its clean geometry and minimal aesthetic. The plant produces round, coin-shaped leaves that sit atop slender upright stems, forming a balanced, airy canopy of bright green foliage. As it matures, new offsets often develop around the base, creating a fuller clustered appearance. Indoors, the Chinese Money Plant typically grows to around 0.3–0.6 metres in height, making it well suited to desks, shelves, and small planters within interior spaces. With its simple structure and distinctive leaf shape, it introduces a playful yet refined character to contemporary interior planting schemes.
