Calathea lancifolia, commonly known as the Rattlesnake Plant, is an ornamental tropical species admired for its striking patterned foliage and elegant form. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, this plant thrives in warm, humid indoor environments where its distinctive leaves become a focal feature in interior plant arrangements. The plant produces long, narrow leaves with gently undulating edges, displaying bold dark green markings across a lighter green surface, while the undersides reveal rich purple tones. The foliage emerges on slender upright stems, creating a graceful, layered appearance that adds texture and visual rhythm to interior spaces.
