Epipremnum aureum, commonly known as Golden Pothos, is a versatile indoor plant valued for its trailing growth habit and vibrant variegated foliage. Native to the tropical forests of South-east Asia and the Pacific Islands, this hardy species adapts easily to indoor environments and is widely used in homes, offices, and interior planting schemes. The plant features heart-shaped leaves in rich green tones splashed with irregular golden-yellow variegation, creating a lively contrast that brightens interior spaces. Golden Pothos can grow as a cascading vine from shelves and hanging planters or climb vertically when supported, typically reaching around 1–3 metres in length indoors depending on conditions. With its flowing form and colourful foliage, Golden Pothos adds softness, movement, and a relaxed tropical character to contemporary interior landscapes.
